Responsibilities include
- Own a personal ledger within the team's shared cash collection target, proactively chasing invoices rather than just following process from very old, overdue accounts to invoices due for the first time
- Contact customers and their payment partners to confirm invoices have been received and scheduled for payment, chasing consistently in the run-up to and past the due date
- Keep Sage fully up to date so the team always has an accurate picture of progress across the ledger
- Solve problems as they come up by reissuing invoices, tracking down supporting contracts, requesting POs, and running claims through payment portals
- Build strong working relationships across finance, sales, and with customers and third-party payment processors to keep cash moving as efficiently as possible
- Experience as a credit controller in a high-volume environment (think hundreds of invoices and customers on the go at once), motivated by hitting cash collection targets
- A tenacious, resourceful approach to problem solving — you find a way to get things done, whatever the barriers, rather than giving up on a tricky account
- Strong relationship-building skills across different stakeholders, from finance and sales through to customers and third parties
- A logical, detail-focused mindset with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload efficiently
- Confidence working with systems to track and manage data (Sage Intacct experience, or exposure to affiliate networks in media/advertising, is a bonus)
