Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to take full ownership of the accounting and finance function. This critical leadership role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic insight to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and coordinate with external US tax accountants.
- Manage audit readiness and support external reviews.
- Serve as the QuickBooks Online expert, ensuring accurate setup, maintenance, and reporting.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.
- Act as the primary liaison with US tax accountants and external auditors.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation (or equivalent professional certification)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role
- Deep expertise in QuickBooks Online (daily operations, reporting, integrations)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning
