Finance Manager

Job Description:

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, tax and regulatory compliance, treasury management, internal controls, and financial analysis. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information while supporting management in strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with PFRS/IFRS/JSOX and local regulatory requirements.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage the annual external audit and coordinate with auditors.

Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Support management with business performance insights and recommendations.
• Prepare financial models and business cases for strategic initiatives.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with BIR requirements, including VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, transfer pricing, and other statutory obligations.
• Review tax filings and coordinate with external tax consultants when necessary.
• Manage tax audits, assessments, and regulatory inquiries.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
• Monitor banking relationships and financing facilities.
• Ensure efficient management of working capital, collections, and disbursements.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Maintain an effective internal control environment.
• Drive audit remediation and compliance initiatives.
• Support Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and governance activities.
• Review and improve finance processes through automation and standardization.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Establish performance goals and monitor team productivity.
• Support succession planning and capability development.
• Foster collaboration across Finance and business functions.

Business Partnering

• Provide financial guidance to business leaders.
• Participate in commercial discussions, contract reviews, and strategic planning exercises.
• Support business growth initiatives through financial analysis and decision support.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a must
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience in Philippine financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience handling external audits and BIR assessments.
• Exposure to multinational companies, fintech, banking, payments, technology, or shared services environments is an advantage.
• Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and financial analysis activities.
