- Build, install, and repair structures, furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, and other wooden structures.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to create or repair structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or plans to determine specifications and requirements for construction projects.
- Install drywall, windows, doors, flooring, and insulation as needed.
- Construct frameworks, partitions, and other building components.
- Ensure the quality of work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Maintain carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Collaborate with other construction workers, such as electricians and painters, to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to safety standards and building codes while working on construction sites.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure it is safe, level, and structurally sound.
- Clean and organize work areas at the end of each day to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a carpenter (apprenticeship or certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools (saws, drills, hammers, levels, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with wood, metal, and other materials.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Good communication skills.
