We are currently looking for a Senior HVAC Technician to be placed for one of our clients in the HVAC and Mechanical Services Industry.
Job Description (Key Responsibilities):
- Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial HVAC systems including chillers, cooling towers, and specialized filtration systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on complex systems to ensure full operational capacity.
- Diagnose and resolve issues on systems without complete manuals or documentation.
- Calibrate sensors and controls in Building Automation and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.
- Interpret and work from electrical diagrams, blueprints, and scopes of work (SOW).
- Supervise junior technicians; provide on-the-job training and support.
- Maintain documentation by preparing inspection reports and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and US codes for HVAC work.
- Assist other trades as needed for mission-critical maintenance and installation tasks.
- Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory; uphold site cleanliness and orderliness.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any related field.
- At least 10 years' experience with: Chillers, cooling towers, DDC systems, CBRNE filters, CO2 scrubbers, smoke evacuation systems, louvers, and screens. HVAC troubleshooting, installation, and system calibration.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and occupational hazards.
- Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); able to communicate with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to work independently or with a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in international operations and maintenance projects.
- Knowledge of U.S. building codes and standard trade practices.
- Former TITP (Technical Intern Training Program) participants or those with prior trainee experience in Japan.
