An aircon technician (air conditioning technician) is a skilled worker who installs, maintains, and repairs cooling systems like air conditioners, HVAC units, and refrigeration systems.
What they do
- Install air conditioning systems in homes, offices, and buildings
- Diagnose faults (e.g., not cooling, leaking, strange noise)
- Repair or replace parts (compressor, fan motor, filters, etc.)
- Perform regular maintenance (cleaning, gas refilling, checking electrical components)
- Ensure systems run efficiently and safely
Qualification:
- High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, or Vocational Graduate
- With experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair is an advantage
- Knowledgeable in troubleshooting air conditioning units and refrigeration systems
- Familiar with electrical wiring and basic electrical repairs
- Able to perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of air conditioning units
- Physically fit and willing to work on-site
- Can work independently and with minimal supervision
- Responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required
