We are seeking a compassionate, licensed, and results-oriented Social Worker to provide comprehensive case management and psychosocial support for children under residential care. The role is responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, coordinating interventions, facilitating family reintegration, ensuring compliance with child protection standards, and advocating for the best interests of every child.
The ideal candidate possesses strong case management, documentation, counseling, and stakeholder coordination skills, with a solid understanding of Philippine child welfare laws, DSWD standards, and child protection practices.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Care Planning
- Conduct intake interviews, psychosocial assessments, and case evaluations for children upon admission.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and regularly update Individual Care Plans (ICP).
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant case records and documentation.
- Monitor children's progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and services provided.
Psychosocial Support & Counseling
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support children's emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
- Conduct life skills, values formation, resilience-building, and psychosocial support programs.
- Identify risks, trauma-related concerns, and behavioral challenges and recommend appropriate interventions.
Family Reintegration & Child Welfare
- Conduct Family Background Investigations (FBI) and family assessments.
- Evaluate family readiness and suitability for reunification or alternative care arrangements.
- Facilitate family visitation, communication, reunification, and reintegration processes.
- Develop transition and discharge plans to support children's long-term welfare and independence.
Coordination, Referral & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with DSWD, LGUs, schools, healthcare providers, courts, NGOs, and other partner agencies.
- Facilitate referrals for medical, legal, educational, psychological, and social services.
- Represent the organization during case conferences, multidisciplinary meetings, and external engagements.
Documentation, Compliance & Legal Support
- Prepare Social Case Study Reports (SCSR), progress reports, assessment reports, and other required documentation.
- Assist in court-related proceedings, custody matters, foster care, adoption, and child protection cases as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with DSWD regulations, child protection standards, and relevant Philippine laws.
Child Protection & Safeguarding
- Promote and maintain a safe, nurturing, and protective environment for all children.
- Monitor, document, and report incidents involving abuse, neglect, exploitation, or safeguarding concerns.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of organizational child protection policies and procedures.
Program Development & Quality Improvement
- Assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote child development and well-being.
- Contribute to policy development, accreditation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support compliance audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with house parents, caregivers, educators, psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and care planning discussions.
- Provide guidance and recommendations regarding children's behavioral and developmental needs.
Advocacy & Child Rights
- Advocate for children's rights, welfare, and access to essential services.
- Promote child participation in age-appropriate decisions affecting their lives.
- Ensure all interventions align with the best interests of the child.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
- Licensed Registered Social Worker (RSW) .
- At least 1–2 years of experience in case management, child welfare, residential care, community development, or related social work practice.
- Strong knowledge of child protection principles, case management processes, and DSWD standards.
- Excellent documentation, report writing, and case recording skills.
- Strong interpersonal, counseling, and stakeholder management abilities.
Must Have:
- Experience working in residential child care facilities, foster care, adoption, family welfare, or child protection programs.
- Experience coordinating with DSWD, courts, schools, healthcare providers, and NGOs.
- Training in trauma-informed care, child safeguarding, or psychosocial interventions.
