Financial Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accurate recording of journal

entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing procedures in QuickBooks for

multiple client entities.

• BIR Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and file timely BIR tax returns and related forms (e.g.,

Quarterly VAT 2550Q, Annual/Quarterly ITR 1701A/1702, Withholding Tax 2307), including

eAFS submissions and handling of installment payments or penalties where applicable.

• Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management: Conduct independent monthly and quarterly bank

reconciliations for client accounts (BPI, Union Bank, and others), investigate and resolve

discrepancies, and prepare supporting schedules.

• Financial Reporting & Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements

(AFS), trial balances, adjusting entries, and audit working papers in close coordination with

external auditors (e.g., Belle, Georg, Tish teams).

• SEC & Corporate Housekeeping: Handle SEC compliance and corporate housekeeping

tasks, including drafting board resolutions, secretary’s certificates, corporate amendments,

annual reportorial requirements, and maintaining records for both active and

dormant/non-operational entities.

• Client Billing, Reporting & Coordination: Manage client billing and collections follow-up,

maintain AR aging reports, prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly financial summaries

(profitability, revenue, billing/collections performance) using advanced Excel, and support client

communications professional

• Process Improvement & Documentation: Maintain well-organized, centralized digital filing

systems and records in line with MBS modernization initiatives; proactively identify bottlenecks

causing delays and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce backlog.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from a

reputable institution.

• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on, relevant experience in full-cycle accounting,

bookkeeping, tax preparation/filing, or compliance roles preferably in an accounting firm,

professional services, or shared services environment handling multiple clients.

• BIR Tax Compliance Expertise: Strong, practical knowledge of Philippine BIR tax compliance,

including key forms (2550Q, 1701A/1702, 2307), eAFS platform, filing deadlines, and common

compliance issues for SMEs and corporations.

• SEC & Corporate Housekeeping Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEC corporate

requirements, reportorial obligations, and corporate housekeeping practices (board resolutions,

secretary’s certificates, handling of dormant/non-operating entities, and basic corporate

secretarial support).

• Accounting Procedures & Bank Reconciliation: Demonstrated proficiency in recording

accurate journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and performing independent, error-free

bank reconciliations with minimal oversight.

• Advanced MS Excel: Advanced to expert-level Microsoft Excel skills: confident in creating and

troubleshooting complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, data

validation, conditional formatting, and building reusable templates or automated summaries for

reporting efficiency.

• QuickBooks Proficiency: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online version)

for day-to-day bookkeeping, chart of accounts setup, and generating financial reports.

• Independence & Reliability: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision,

manage competing deadlines across multiple client portfolios, maintain high accuracy under

pressure, and proactively address backlogs and process gaps
