Line Cook - Dispatch, Cold Station & Desserts

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatch / Cold & Desserts Station Crew to join our kitchen team. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring all food orders are complete, accurate, and dispatched promptly to maintain smooth kitchen operations. The position also assists in preparing cold dishes and desserts while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail, and works well with both kitchen and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main dispatch personnel, ensuring all orders are complete, accurate, and sent out promptly.
- Check food quality, presentation, and order accuracy before dispatching to the service team.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient order flow and timely service.
- Monitor ticket sequencing and prioritize orders during peak hours.
- Prepare and plate cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and desserts according to restaurant standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispatch, cold, and desserts station.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor stock levels for the cold and desserts station and report items that need replenishment.
- Assist with basic food preparation and other kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food dispatch, expediting, or a kitchen role is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Good communication and coordination skills with both kitchen and service staff.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, plating, and presentation.
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask effectively.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
