Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Platform Administrator to join the IT Operations and Foundation team at Chevron. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform administration, engineering, security, performance optimization, upgrades, and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain ServiceNow production and non-production instances.

• Manage user accounts, groups, roles, access controls, and platform security.

• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning measures.

• Plan and execute ServiceNow platform upgrades and maintenance activities.

• Implement and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML and OpenID Connect (OIDC).

• Integrate ServiceNow with Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint management, security platforms, and observability tools.

• Maintain system integrations and validate technical designs and data exchange requirements.

• Support developers with platform configuration, technical guidance, and best practices.

• Maintain platform stability, scalability, reliability, and data integrity.

• Apply security hardening standards and continuously improve platform operations.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of relevant hands-on experience, including substantial ServiceNow platform administration or engineering experience.

• Strong experience with ServiceNow instance administration, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

• Practical expertise in implementing SSO using SAML and OIDC.

• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external applications and enterprise systems.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow security, access control lists (ACLs), ITIL processes, and platform best practices.

• Knowledge of Java or another object-oriented programming language, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure fundamentals and Azure DevOps.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the SAFe Agile framework.

• Experience with enterprise platform security, system hardening, and complex integrations.
