Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance benefits through Availity and outbound calls, calculate copays and patient contributions, and prepare financial care plans.
- Manage patient insurance and cash cases in the EHR system, including opening and closing cases.
- Set up recurring payment plans, process scheduled transactions, and resolve declined payments.
- Coordinate with the clinic’s third-party billing company through email and Monday.com.
- Audit patient accounts for billing accuracy and complete required HIPAA compliance training.
Qualifications:
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); a clear, neutral accent is acceptable.
- Healthcare or medical administration experience in a corporate setting or as a Virtual Assistant.
- Willingness to complete clinic-administered HIPAA compliance training.
- Experience with insurance verification portals (e.g., Availity) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management tools.
