Role Summary

Responsibilities
- Edit in-studio and remotely-recorded footage for screen recordings, interviews, talking heads, and additional graphics.
- Follow production scripts and storyboards while taking direction from producers and curriculum managers and incorporating feedback.
- Communicate daily with your project team via Slack & email.
- Maintain production team backup footage and server as well as online b-roll storage.
- Proactively research, test and implement improvements to team wide media storage protocols and technologies.
- Mentor, train, and onboard on-call remote editors.
Qualifications
- A strong reel showcasing their editing skills and visual storytelling ability
- Minimum 3+ years experience in Adobe Premiere
- Minimum 1 year experience in Adobe After Effects
- Strong media management and organizational skills
- Ability to take direction well but also has sound editorial judgment
- Ability to juggle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining calm, organized, and flexible.
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal) and can give and take constructive feedback well
- Drive to seek opportunities to develop technical skills, learns well from failure, and isn’t afraid to ask questions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating Essential Graphics templates in Adobe Premiere
- Experience in sound design, repair and mixing
- Experience editing Ed-Tech video content

Work Schedule: Varies each week depending on projects. Expectation is no more than 30 hours a week.
