Assistant Warehouse Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the workflow of warehouse operations and collaborates with interfacing departments to achieve efficient results.
- Implement proper housekeeping procedures in order to secure the Warehouse againts theft and pilferage, and prevent possible damages to property, including product breakages.
- Ensure that the established procedures of warehouse regarding handling, transferring, preparation, and delivery are followed by all warehouse personnel.
- Report immediately to the Warehouse Manager all warehouse and delivery operation concerns.
- Monitor all warehouse personnel activities to maximize output, efficiency and safety.
- Report all products that fail to meet specifications. Indicate possible reasons and suggestive corrective actions for supplier purposes.
- Maintain and assure that all test equipment and measuring devices are properly calibrated, stored, and maintained.
- Oversee general duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Receiving Assistants.
- Validate the items (backloads) received by the Warehouse Supervisor from the Branches.
- Oversee the monitoring and request for building repairs and maintenance.
- Oversee the monitoring and request for repair, maintenance and replacement of delivery trucks, forklifts, jacklifts and other equipment.
Qualifications:
- Preferably BS in Engineering or any related 4 year course
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics and warehousing
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer proficient (MS Office)
