- A Room Attendant, also known as a Housekeeper, is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms in a hotel, resort, or other lodging facility. The role ensures that rooms are comfortable, welcoming, and ready for guest use.
- Clean guest rooms and bathrooms, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish toiletries.
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors, and clean windows and mirrors.
- Restock and organize amenities like toiletries, coffee supplies, and minibar items.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to management.
- Ensure that all items in the room are in proper working condition.
- Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or assistance.
- Maintain the cleanliness of public areas such as hallways and lobbies as required.
- Follow safety and sanitation protocols to prevent accidents and infections.
- Keep track of room status (clean, dirty, inspected) and report any discrepancies to supervisors.

- Experience:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred, but not always necessary.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Good communication skills, particularly for guest interactions.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a hospitality setting.
- Personal Traits:
- A friendly, customer-oriented attitude.
- A strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good time-management skills.
- Other:
- May require the ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
