- A Food Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service in food service establishments, such as restaurants, cafeterias, or fast-food outlets.
- They assist with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
- Greeting Customers: Welcome guests, take their orders, and ensure they are satisfied with the service.
- Taking Orders: Accurately record customers' food and drink orders, relay orders to kitchen staff, and handle special dietary requests.
- Serving Food: Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly, ensuring proper portion sizes, presentation, and temperature.
- Handling Payments: Process customer payments using cash registers, point-of-sale systems, or payment apps. Handle cash, credit cards, and provide change.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure dining areas are clean, tables are cleared, and floors are swept regularly.
- Stocking Supplies: Refill condiments, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service, addressing any customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
- Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, such as keeping food at appropriate temperatures and washing hands regularly.
- Collaborating with Team: Work alongside kitchen staff, waitstaff, and managers to ensure smooth operations.

- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus but not required for entry-level positions.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication to interact with customers and coworkers.
- Customer Service: Ability to maintain a positive attitude and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining food quality.
- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during busy periods.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays of food or drink for long periods.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards (training may be provided).
