A Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment or systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:• Install, inspect, and maintain equipment or machinery
• Diagnose technical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance
• Respond to service calls and provide on-site support
• Document service activities, repairs, and parts used
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Communicate with customers to explain issues and solutions
• Coordinate with other departments for parts and technical support Qualifications:
• Vocational or technical course (e.g., electrical, mechanical, automotive, or related field)
• Proven experience as a technician or similar role is an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams
• Good communication and customer service skills Skills:
• Technical and mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Time management
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Physical stamina (may require lifting, bending) Working Conditions:
• May involve fieldwork or on-site assignments
• Exposure to different environments (indoor/outdoor)
• Flexible hours, including emergency service calls if needed
