OVERALL ROLE

APAC Regional Sourcing & Procurement Lead is responsible for all the sourcing management activities across all sites or in-scope region within the account. You will be the Procurement focal point for the account and lead the implementation of the sourcing strategies and vendor management.

APAC Regional Sourcing & Procurement Lead is responsible for all the sourcing management activities across all sites or in-scope region within the account. You will be the Procurement focal point for the account and lead the implementation of the sourcing strategies and vendor management.

Key traits: Strategy formulation

In this account-based role, you are a senior member of the region/s and covering a large geography, you are responsible to create and execute sourcing strategies for related spend categories. This role will require you to identify and map out savings for the account, whilst ensuring seamless interaction with all supporting functions. It is imperative you identify risks and take necessary measures to mitigate, through the implementation of effective sourcing strategies, contractual and vendor management.

As the regional strategic sourcing lead, you will manage the sourcing and manage relationships with all key stakeholders e.g. client, account team, central procurement and suppliers. You will also need develop and implement an annual sourcing plan and programs to bring value to the account.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

• Support the development of the category strategies and lead sourcing plans and the implementation of those strategies
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the category area and to maintain and develop this knowledge
• Support and drive initiatives for the defined key suppliers of the category, and client programs not limited to responsible, sustainable, compliance, diversity, equity & inclusion programs.

Client/Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the collation of category requirements including spend, demand, supplier performance and service requirements in a logical format.
• Drive business relationship with the other team members
• Be the Main point of contact in the resolution of escalated supplier issues and ensure appropriate supplier management and performance metrics have been agreed

Business Operations

• Design sourcing plans and deliver those strategies directly or indirectly as business requires. Balances the business needs, company risk and supply market capability to determine the optimum route to deliver maximum value
• Ensure sourcing strategies are aligned to account strategy or Client deliverables.
• Drive operational compliance in the areas of contract management and insurance certificates.
• Manage, in conjunction with Account Lead, the supplier spend to achieve baseline targets including glide path savings
• Support any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by reporting Leads, not limited to the duties / responsibilities as described, to support the business requirements.

Management

• Deliver sourcing plans in a consistent way and manage the sourcing activities on behalf of the Client.
• Develop, implement and maintain Rfx & other procurement/sourcing related documents and reports.
• Build consensus and deliver "buy in" at account level for sourcing strategies. Steer consistent implementation across all sites within the account.
• Track, review and report on sourcing project performance, plan implementation and use this information to determine opportunities for further improvement to category strategy definition and target setting.
• Manage risk to the account through robust sourcing strategies and sourcing management and by ensuring adherence to corporate compliance, platform and policy.

• Responsible for supplier contract management and supplier performance management.
