We’re looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our friendly Business Services team. This role gives you hands-on experience across compliance, bookkeeping, payroll and advisory work for a wide variety of clients. You’ll learn directly from experienced managers and be supported every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships & Sole Traders
- Manage bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliation, invoicing, payroll and journal entries in XERO
- Support managers with tax planning, GST, CGT, FBT, Division 7A, payroll tax & land tax matters
- Communicate with clients and stay on top of your workflow and budgets
- This is a genuine development role with the ability to take on more responsibility as you grow.
Requirements
What You Bring
- 2+ years in business services with an Australian accounting firm
- Degree qualified
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Good communication skills and the confidence to communicate with clients
- Experience with XERO, XPM, Quick Books, FYIDocs (an advantage, not essential)
