Trackworks CAD Operator

Includes but not limited to the following:

• Drafting and Design: Create and modify detailed CAD drawings and schematics for power supply systems using software like AutoCAD or MicroStation. Ensure designs meet project specifications and comply with relevant industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and translate them into detailed drawings. Participate in design review meetings to address any issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Documentation Management: Maintain organized project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and revision logs. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to all project stakeholders.
• Clash Detection: Use CAD software tools to identify and resolve potential conflicts with other systems (e.g., HVAC, structural). Collaborate with team members to address identified clashes before construction begins.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards. Stay informed about the latest practices and technologies in power supply design.
• Field Support: Provide assistance during the construction phase by clarifying design intent and resolving on-site issues. Conduct site visits when necessary to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Requirements

• Candidate should be a graduate of BS Architecture or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Railway Subsystem/ Civil and Structures/ Electrical & Mechanical (E&M).
• At least 3 years’ experience in CAD Drafting and experience using Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D.
• Independence and ability to work in a team.
• Conscientious and rigorous in their work.
• Comprehension of parametric object-based models, design, engineering/construction models.
• Good level of English literacy; excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
