Workday Senior Engineer (Absence or Benefits)

Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a weekto apply. 

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 2PM to 10PM Manila time, overlapping with UK operating hours. Some flexibility can also be offered depending on business needs and agreement with the line manager.

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Workday Engineer to join our expanding Workday HCM Technical Delivery Team. This role supports us in delivering an ambitious roadmap of Workday optimisation and enhancement. We are looking for people with Workday HCM experience, with particular experience in Absence and Benefits.

What will you do as a Workday Senior Engineer?

Reporting to the Workday Delivery Manager, your accountabilities will include: 

• Leading and contributing to Workday configuration across one or more functional areas, from design through to deployment.
• Providing subject-matter expertise to guide business stakeholders, project teams, and BAU support teams on Workday solutions.
• Contributing to the HR Solutions delivery roadmap through regular development and release cycles.
• Performing gap analysis, solution design, and stakeholder engagement to influence effective decision-making.
• Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues while collaborating closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery.

• Workday HCM expertise, especially within Absence and Benefits.
• Exhibits hands-on experience delivering Workday functional design within consulting or in-house Workday technical teams.
• Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design practical, effective solutions.
• Communicates clearly and confidently in written and spoken English with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Works effectively in Agile (Scrum) environments and independently drives work to completion.
• Displays initiative in contributing to thought leadership and continuous improvement within a Workday practice.

• Workday HCM Certified
