Overview
The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technical solutions to ensure high-quality data, effective reporting, and successful project delivery. This role is responsible for supporting program data onboarding by developing clear file schemas and comprehensive data dictionaries that accurately reflect business user requirements. The Business Analyst maps diverse data sources to data warehouse structures and partners closely with data engineering teams to enable efficient development and integration.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop file schemas and data dictionaries that accurately capture business user requirements to support program partner data onboarding
- Map incoming data sources to data warehouse tables and collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation and integration.
- Promote cross-business awareness of requirements and identify system or process deficiencies through data evaluation.
- Create, document, and manage project requirements while maintaining transparent, consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions against defined requirements and ensure readiness for deployment.
- Perform thorough quality assurance activities, clearly communicating findings to ensure high-quality deliverables and resolution of issues.
- Elicit, analyze, and translate technical user requirements to optimize system usability, data accuracy, and overall solution effectiveness.
- Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized delivery, and respond to questions with supporting research and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or financial related field with 3+ years of experience or minimum of
- 5 years work experience as business analyst.
- Must be proficient in Excel and SQL.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in the P&C insurance industry
- Familiarity with Airbase and GAAPIFY Platforms
- Knowledge of intercompany financial processes and chargebacks
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
