Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing rent collections, maintaining accurate tenant accounts, coordinating with housing assistance programs, and supporting property management operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills, and can effectively handle sensitive tenant matters while maintaining professionalism. Key Responsibilities Process Section 8 payments and perform account reconciliations Handle tenant deposits, transfer requests, and account adjustments Manage eviction processes, court proceedings, and settlement agreements Process payment plans and coordinate lockout procedures Maintain accurate rent ledgers and process lease renewals Coordinate Section 8 inspections, abatements, and NHA-related matters Respond to tenant rent inquiries and schedule lockouts when necessary Follow up on outstanding rent collections and verify charges Process security deposit refunds accurately and in a timely manner Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions and tenant communications Qualifications Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Property Management, Leasing Administration, or a related field is preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally Required Strengths Strong commitment and reliability Good judgment and common sense when handling tenant concerns and account issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Join Us?
