Housekeeping | Dayshift | Onsite

ZigZag is looking for a Housekeeping Staff to join our team! 

The Zigzag Housekeeping Staff ensures the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the facility, supporting smooth workplace operations. This role maintains hygiene standards, performs routine cleaning, and assists with facility-related housekeeping tasks to create a well-maintained environment across all areas.

Core Responsibilities
1. Daily Cleaning and Maintenance
● Complete all assigned daily cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
● Follow the daily checklist for each duty area to ensure no task is missed.
● Maintain overall cleanliness in site premises, including hallways, corridors, meeting rooms, and public spaces.
● Report any issues affecting cleanliness or safety to the Facilities team promptly.

2. Facility Support
● Report any maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures, lights) to the Facilities team.
● Assist in minor repairs or coordinate with vendors for larger repairs.
● Ensure cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies are stored properly.
● Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.

3. Health, Safety, and Compliance
● Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
● Comply with organizational hygiene and safety standards.
● Assist in emergency cleaning and sanitation as required (e.g., spill response).
● Ensure compliance with environmental and waste management policies.

4. Special Assignments and Projects
● Support deep cleaning schedules (monthly/quarterly).
● Assist with setup and cleaning for company events or guest visits.
● Help maintain a clean and organized storage area for facility supplies.

5. Agile Practices
● Must comply with company Agile practices and work in an Agile manner for all assigned tasks.
● Adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.
● Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback for better workflow and efficiency.

6. Working Conditions
● Primarily on-site with occasional support for events or special projects.
● May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
● Shift work may be required depending on facility operations.
● Required to report on critical working days, including holidays, and comply with the organization’s attendance policy.
● Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent; NC2 certification in housekeeping is a plus.
● Prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or facilities support preferred.
● Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and proper handling of chemicals.
● Understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
● Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
● Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks required for the role.
● Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills.
● Basic communication skills for reporting and coordination with the facilities team.
