Electrical Engineer/ Facility Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Electrical System Design and Engineering

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for buildings, facilities, production equipment, and machinery.
• Prepare electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, load schedules, and technical specifications.
• Review and approve electrical plans, drawings, and engineering documents.
• Perform electrical load calculations and system analysis.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable engineering standards and the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC).

2. Project Planning and Implementation

• Plan, supervise, and monitor electrical installation, renovation, and improvement projects.
• Coordinate project schedules, manpower, contractors, suppliers, and project resources.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure project quality and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines.
• Prepare project reports and recommendations for management.

3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
• Investigate electrical failures and determine root causes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues affecting operations.
• Recommend corrective actions and long-term improvements.
• Ensure minimal downtime through timely maintenance and repairs.

4. Equipment and Facility Management

• Monitor the performance and reliability of electrical equipment, generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, lighting systems, and distribution panels.
• Evaluate equipment conditions and recommend repair, replacement, or upgrades.
• Ensure electrical equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production and operations teams.

5. Safety and Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards, --Fire Code, and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify electrical hazards and recommend preventive measures.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
• Participate in safety audits and emergency response activities.

6. Technical Documentation

• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, engineering documentation, and project completion reports.
• Maintain updated electrical drawings, equipment records, and maintenance logs.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical systems.

7. Budgeting and Cost Control

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical projects and maintenance activities.
• Monitor electrical maintenance expenses and project costs.
• Recommend cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and safety standards.

8. Vendor and Contractor Coordination

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and government agencies regarding electrical works.
• Review contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Evaluate quotations and technical proposals for electrical equipment and services.

9. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and system reliability.
• Recommend process improvements and new technologies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

10. Other Duties

• Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel and electricians.
• Assist during audits and regulatory inspections.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: 1. Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer (Registered Electrical Engineer – REE) with a valid PRC License is preferred.
• Registered Master Electrician (RME) is an advantage.

2. Experience

• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably in manufacturing, industrial plants, commercial facilities, or construction.
• Experience in electrical system design, preventive maintenance, project management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience handling contractors and electrical installations is an advantage.
