- We are seeking a skilled and qualified Earthmoving Operator to join our team on a full-time, 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in operating heavy earthmoving machinery and be committed to safety, efficiency, and collaboration to support our project goals.
- Operate heavy earthmoving equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders to excavate, grade, and move earth, rocks, and debris according to project specifications.
- Perform pre-operational equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure optimal functioning and safety.
- Read, interpret, and follow instructions accurately to complete tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with site supervisor, and other equipment operators to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and site regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Work efficiently in various weather conditions and challenging terrains.
- Valid certification or license for operating earthmoving machinery.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an earthmoving or heavy equipment operator in construction or related industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and site plans.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for machine control.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively on site.
- Physical stamina to endure long working hours and tough environmental conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
- Relevant apprenticeship, vocational training, or certification in heavy machinery operation.
- Additional safety or industry-related certifications are an asset.
