Position Summary
The Cafe Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining product quality, achieving sales targets, managing employees, and ensuring compliance with all Coffee Daily policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Ensure smooth day-to-day branch operations.
- Maintain Coffee Daily’s quality standards for all beverages, food, and customer service.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards are consistently followed.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance concerns immediately.
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and motivate all branch employees.
- Conduct daily team briefings.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, grooming, and performance.
- Train new employees according to Coffee Daily standards.
- Implement corrective actions when necessary while maintaining professionalism.
3. Customer Service
- Ensure every customer receives excellent service.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a welcoming and positive store environment.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate major concerns when necessary.
4. Sales & Profitability
- Drive branch sales and achieve monthly targets.
- Monitor average transaction value and suggest ways to increase sales.
- Recommend promotions and local marketing initiatives.
- Minimize wastage and operational costs.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor daily inventory levels.
- Ensure accurate stock receiving and storage.
- Conduct regular inventory counts.
- Prevent losses due to spoilage, theft, or operational errors.
- Coordinate with the commissary regarding stock requirements.
6. Cash Management
- Ensure accurate cash handling and POS transactions.
- Verify daily sales reports and cash counts.
- Prepare daily deposits and required financial reports.
- Report discrepancies immediately.
7. Compliance
- Enforce all Coffee Daily SOPs, company policies, and food safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with DOLE and other applicable labor regulations.
- Maintain complete and organized branch documentation.
8. Administrative Duties
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor employee schedules and manpower requirements.
- Submit incident reports, maintenance requests, inventory reports, and performance evaluations on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- At least 2 years of experience in café, restaurant, or retail management.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.
