Schedule: 7:00 AM – 04:00 PM PHT
Employment: Full-Time
Salary: PHP 70,000
What You'll Do:
- Enter, map, and reconcile client data across accounting platforms including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks (QBO), and prepare bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with Accounts Payable/Receivable, monthly close tasks, workpapers, supporting schedules, and documentation for year-end.
- Support preparation of BAS/IAS, payroll summaries, year-end adjusting journals, and income tax return data packs for individuals, sole traders, companies, and trusts under senior review.
- Retrieve and organize ATO portal information, including lodgement records, PAYG instalments, and notices of assessment; reconcile ATO data with client records and track lodgement statuses.
- Maintain accurate and well-referenced workpapers, follow SOPs and compliance timelines, communicate with the team and clients regarding missing information or clarifications, manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and proactively escalate issues.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting or audit; internships or graduate roles are welcome.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, journals, and basic financial reporting.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently with guidance.
- Ability to follow checklists, SOPs, internal audit standards, and compliance timelines.
- Preferred / Advantage: Exposure to Australian SMEs; familiarity with Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks (QBO); willingness to learn HandiTax/APS; experience or exposure to Australian taxation and accounting processes; friendly, committed, flexible, and eager-to-learn attitude.
- Technical Skills & Software: Xero: Familiarity required; MYOB: Familiarity required; QuickBooks (QBO): Familiarity required; HandiTax/APS: Willingness to learn preferred; Bookkeeping and reconciliations: Solid understanding required; Journals and basic financial reporting: Solid understanding required; BAS/IAS and Australian tax compliance processes: Support-level knowledge/exposure required.
