Physical Therapy Job Description

Job Title: Physical Therapist (PTRP)

Reports to: PT Branch Manager/PT Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our growing multi-specialty clinic in Alabang. You will work collaboratively with our team of physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to provide integrated, patient-centered rehabilitation services. Your primary goal is to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility while effectively communicating progress to referring providers within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Evaluation & Treatment

-Patient Assessment: Perform thorough evaluations of patients referred from internal specialties (orthopedics, pain management, neurology, pediatrics, etc.), assessing strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.

- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on physician prescriptions and patient goals.

- Therapeutic Interventions: Administer appropriate physical therapy modalities and techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, and heat/cold therapy, as prescribed by a duly registered physician.

- Patient & Family Education: Train patients and their families/caregivers in the proper use of rehabilitation equipment, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration (Multi-Specialty Focus)

- Team Communication: Coordinate closely with referring physicians, pain management specialists, and other healthcare providers within the clinic regarding patient progress, barriers to improvement, and need for further diagnostics or intervention.

- Case Discussions: Participate in regular case reviews or team huddles to ensure comprehensive, holistic patient care.

Documentation & Compliance

- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient records, including initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries, in compliance with clinic policies and Philippine regulatory standards. Familiar with EMR such as Ray Practo

- Plan of Care Updates: Ensure treatment plans are reviewed and updated as needed, in accordance with physician prescriptions.

- Billing Support: Accurately document treatment provided to support the clinic's billing and coding processes.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

- Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT or MSPT/DPT) from a CHED-recognized college or university.

- License: Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license as a Registered Physical Therapist. Successful examinees of the Physical Therapists Licensure Examination (PTLE) must have a valid Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card.

- Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Must be willing to earn and accumulate the required CPD units for PRC license renewal.

Experience

- Entry-level: Open to recent board passers with no experience required.

- Experienced: 1–3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient, hospital, or multi-specialty setting preferred.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Proficiency in implementing therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation modalities.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English and Filipino).

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to patient care.

- Basic computer literacy for electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation.

Work Environment & Conditions

- Setting: Outpatient clinic within a multi-specialty physical therapy clinic but mainly MSK

- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/assist patients for extended periods.
