Accounting and Finance Assistant Manager

Position: Finance Assistant Manager Industry: Manufacturing Company Location: Binalonan, Pangasinan Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 3 years supervisory experience in Accounting processes, or 1 year managerial experience in a related field Willing to work full on-site in Binalonan, Pangasinan Job Summary The Finance Assistant Manager will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with government requirements, and provide leadership to the finance team. This role involves mentoring staff, managing reporting processes, and supporting cost efficiency in manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Mentor and coach Finance employees to enhance performance and professional growth Prepare and review PEZA-mandated requirements and ensure compliance Develop and implement finance internal controls, policies, and procedures Ensure 100% timely filing of BIR returns and other government requirements (ITR, VAT, EWT, etc.) Review annual departmental budgets and provide recommendations Supervise daily accounting operations: general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll entries Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with accurate financial reporting Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs; recommend cost reduction strategies Lead budgeting and forecasting activities in coordination with department heads Coordinate with external auditors during financial and tax audits Drive improvements in financial processes and systems to strengthen efficiency and controls Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to junior accounting staff Recruitment Process First Interview – Line interview (possible online) Second Interview – Onsite interview
