The Sales Assistant provides excellent customer service, supports sales processes, and helps maintain the store or office’s organization and efficiency. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.
- Greet and assist customers, providing product information and recommendations.
- Process sales transactions, handle cash, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain store presentation, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and cleanliness.
- Support sales representatives with administrative tasks, such as order processing and tracking.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counting and reporting shortages.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and company policies.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to team goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is a plus).
- Prior experience in sales, retail, or customer service is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with sales software is a plus.
- Positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shift schedules as needed.
