University of Santo Tomas Hospital
Performs activities related to Accounts Payable functions concerned with the preparation of payments of goods/services and other hospital expenses, employees payroll and reports/documentary requirements.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Payment of Goods, Services & Other Hospital Expenses
- Ensure payments for goods and services are made on time, based on actual quantity received, agreed price, and terms of payment.
- Verify that payments are approved and complete documentation is attached to Accounts Payable Vouchers.
- Ensure payments are properly made to the correct payee, with appropriate withholding tax applied.
- Classify received goods, services, and reimbursed expenses to the correct hospital department accounts.
B. Employee Payroll
- Ensure employees and outsourced personnel are paid on time and according to agreed salaries or professional fees, with correct withholding taxes and other deductions applied.
- Ensure payroll entries are properly classified and recorded in the General Ledger.
C. Accounts Payable and Payroll Reports
- Ensure accurate reports are prepared on time as requested.
- Ensure pertinent supporting documents for required reports are available.
- Prepare analysis of Professional Fees Payable.
- Prepare analysis of Vouchers Payable, Accounts Payable (Suppliers), and Accounts Receivable (Suppliers).
D. Other Functions
- Ensure operations of Accounts Payable and Payroll Sections comply with ISO standards.
- Prepare documents and requirements needed by PQM for ISO and other purposes.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Knowledgeable in basic computer applications
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong multi-tasking and positive organizational abilities
- Proficient in basic office skills such as typing, sorting, and filing
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
