Location: Remote

Employment Type: Part-Time | 30 Hours per Week

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday | 7.5 Hours per Day

Working Hours: Pacific Time | Flexible Start Between 8:00–9:00 AM

Compensation: $11–$15 USD per Hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support a growing U.S.-based electrical construction and home services company specializing in residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience estimating U.S. electrical construction projects, particularly those valued at $100,000 or more , and can independently review construction drawings, perform material takeoffs, calculate labor costs, and prepare competitive bids.

This position requires strong technical estimating expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review electrical blueprints, site plans, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine project scope.
• Perform detailed electrical material takeoffs and calculate labor hours and installation costs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for residential and commercial projects.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and vendor pricing for electrical materials and equipment.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and clarification requirements before finalizing estimates.
• Prepare change orders, bid revisions, and updated cost estimates as project requirements evolve.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to verify pricing, scope, and estimate accuracy before submission.
• Communicate directly with customers and contractors regarding project requirements, bids, and proposals.
• Monitor bid deadlines and proactively follow up on submitted estimates to improve bid conversion opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of proven professional experience as an Electrical Estimator or electrical tradesperson supporting U.S. construction projects .
• Demonstrated experience estimating both residential and commercial electrical projects, including projects valued at $100,000 or more.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, construction drawings, site plans, and technical specifications.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, equipment, installation materials, and applicable U.S. electrical codes.
• Hands-on experience performing electrical material takeoffs and estimating labor hours.
• Experience preparing comprehensive electrical estimates, proposals, and competitive bid packages.
• Ability to manage multiple estimating deadlines and follow up proactively on submitted bids.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Confidence communicating directly with U.S.-based customers, contractors, and suppliers through email and phone calls.
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Bluebeam, Accubid, or similar electrical estimating software.
• Familiarity with PlanSwift or other digital takeoff platforms.
• Previous experience working remotely with U.S.-based electrical contractors or construction companies.
• Experience preparing electrical change orders, estimate revisions, and bid adjustments.
