Job Description
We are seeking to add top talents to join our high-performing and growing Accounting and Finance Team. This position will play a critical role as we expand our brokerage business, tap to new markets and provide innovative avenues for securities trading in the Philippines.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of financial reports, including but not limited to;
- Monitor movement and balance of investments, including:
- Calculate management fees and incentive fees.
- Ensure that all income and expense items are recognized/accrued on the appropriate period.
- Prepares different kinds of reconciliation, including Broker, Custodian and Bank reconciliation
- Assess compliance with accounting principles and BIR regulations.
- Review of BIR Tax Returns to save on taxes and avoid errors that may lead to BIR assessments.
- Identify potential risks and providing recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA license is a must.
- With at least five to seven (5-7) years working knowledge in accounting principles and practices and with prior work experience in fund accounting in a brokerage/mutual fund firm is must.
- Prior work experience in an auditing firm is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the banking and financial services industries and asset management products is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of trust and investment regulations and asset management industry trends is an added advantage.
- Has proficiency in MS Office and SFI software (WinStockSS.Net).
- Familiarity with trading systems (PSEConnect,Bloomberg, etc.) is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to details, can multitask and prioritize deadline.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
