GECO Asia is a specialist IT Consultancy Services company headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China, with two delivery centers in the Philippines – Manila and Iloilo.
We’re looking for a Google Data Engineer to design and build scalable, high-performance data platforms that power analytics, machine learning, and enterprise reporting. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with modern data technologies on GCP , and is passionate about transforming complex business requirements into reliable, efficient, and secure data solutions.What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services (Dataflow, Cloud Composer, BigQuery)
- Architect and optimize BigQuery data models for performance and cost efficiency
- Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using Pub/Sub and related services
- Apply DataOps practices including automation, testing, and monitoring
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production data systems
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards
- Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Drive continuous improvement in data architecture and platform performance
Key Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Deep expertise in:
- BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer
- Experience building end-to-end data pipelines at scale
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Hands-on experience with Terraform
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes , and containerized data workloads
- Experience with Git and version control practices
Nice to Have
- GCP certifications (Professional Data Engineer, Cloud Architect)
- Experience in enterprise-scale or regulated environments
- Exposure to advanced DataOps frameworks and governance practices
