Description - Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims.
- Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and payment arrangements.
- Maintain records of patient accounts and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Provide support in resolving billing discrepancies and appeals.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in medical billing or coding preferred.
- Experience Level: 3-5 years of experience in medical billing or related field.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Qualities and Traits: Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Working Conditions: Generally, a standard office environment with exposure to confidential patient information.
