Description - Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.
- Review and verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve discrepancies with insurers.
- Maintain accurate records of payments, denials, and account status.
- Communicate with patients regarding their accounts, including billing questions and payment plans.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Experience Level: 3-5 years of experience in medical billing or related field.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in medical terminology, coding, and billing software.
- Qualities and Traits: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
