About The Role As part of the global support team based in Parañaque, Metro Manila, the Estimator will provide estimating and engineering support in the preparation of tenders that accurately reflect current construction methodologies, are commercially competitive, and are developed to a high standard of quality. The role is responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions that support the successful acquisition of profitable projects for the Construction Division. Key responsibilities
- This is a full on-site role, Monday - Friday from 6am to 3pm.
- Review tender documentation, including scope of works, contract requirements, tender forms, and alternative design options.
- Collaborate with Construction Managers, Estimators, and other stakeholders to determine the most effective construction methodologies and project delivery approaches.
- Prepare, measure, verify, and review schedules, quantities, and bills of quantities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop detailed estimates of direct costs, indirect costs, and site overheads for allocated tenders.
- Prepare preliminary construction programs and project schedules to support tender submissions.
- Identify, assess, and communicate project risks and opportunities to the bid team to support informed decision-making.
- Participate in tender review meetings and contribute to the preparation of high-quality and competitive tender submissions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of project drawings, specifications, and all Quality, Health & Safety (OH&S), and Environmental requirements relevant to the proposed works.
- Manage and coordinate the distribution, tracking, and response of Requests for Information (RFIs) throughout the tender process.
- Liaise effectively with the Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator, clients, consulting engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Estimator and Chief Estimator on tender progress, key risks, opportunities, and critical issues.
- Source, evaluate, and obtain subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
- Must be a licensed Civil Engineer, preferably a graduate of a top university in the Philippines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in English.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating, tendering, or project delivery roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including cost analysis, estimating, and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
