Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Planning :
- Meet with clients to understand needs, budget, and vision.
- Develop conceptual designs, layouts, and detailed construction documents using software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Incorporate structural, mechanical, and electrical system requirements.
- Technical Documentation :
- Produce blueprints, specifications, and technical reports.
- Ensure designs meet zoning laws, building codes, and safety standards.
- Project Management & Oversight :
- Estimate costs and timelines.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Construction Phase Support :
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality.
- Review contractor submittals (material samples, drawings).
- Manage change orders, payments, and resolve disputes.
- Ensure the building is constructed according to the design intent.
- Client & Team Communication :
- Serve as a liaison between the owner and the construction team.
- Provide guidance and solutions to on-site problems.
