Operations Manager

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, an executive recruitment firm, is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in the design, integration, installation, and maintenance of electronic Fire and Security systems, serving blue-chip clients across various industries. The job is based in Makati City, Philippines.

Job Summary:
Our respected client is looking for an Operations Manager who will lead the day-to-day operations of the business across the Philippines, overseeing maintenance, service delivery, and project execution. The role is responsible for ensuring security and technology projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Working closely with the Sales, Technical, Procurement, and HR teams, the Operations Manager will optimize operational performance, effectively manage resources, drive continuous improvement, and ensure exceptional service delivery to clients. This role requires a commercially minded leader with strong organizational, leadership, and technical capabilities.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Service Delivery

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with agreed client requirements.
• Oversee the successful delivery of integrated security and technology solutions, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational targets are consistently achieved.
• Monitor operational performance to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimise disruption.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Develop, implement and continually improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across operational activities.
• Review operational workflows to improve efficiency, productivity and service delivery.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational performance.
• Ensure operational documentation is maintained accurately and consistently.

Compliance, Quality & Risk Management

• Ensure operational compliance with Philippine legislation, company policies and relevant industry standards.
• Promote best practice in health, safety, security and data privacy across all operational activities.
• Monitor quality standards and implement corrective actions where required.
• Support internal audits and ensure operational readiness for external compliance requirements.

Supply Chain & Resource Management

• Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and technology vendors.
• Oversee procurement activities to ensure equipment, software licences and materials are available to meet project schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and support effective asset management.
• Ensure operational expenditure remains within approved budgets while maintaining service quality.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach and develop operational teams, including technical engineers and support staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and development planning.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture.
• Work closely with HR to support recruitment, workforce planning and employee development.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the primary operational link between Sales, Technical, Finance, Procurement and HR teams.
• Ensure customer expectations align with operational capability and project delivery requirements.
• Support effective communication across departments to ensure seamless project execution.
• Contribute to strategic planning and operational decision-making.

Financial & Performance Management

• Manage departmental budgets and monitor operational expenditure.
• Analyse project profitability, productivity and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost performance.
• Monitor operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including service delivery, technician utilisation, response times and project performance.
• Prepare regular operational reports and performance updates for senior management.

Key Job Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Business Management or a related discipline. A Master's Degree is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of integrated electronic security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Biometrics, Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and related technologies.
• Excellent operational leadership and people management skills.
• Strong project management and organisational abilities.
• Commercial awareness with sound financial and budget management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Philippines.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in operations management within the electronic security, fire protection, technology or engineering industry.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects from planning through to completion.
• Experience managing operational budgets, supplier relationships and procurement activities.
• Strong understanding of operational compliance, quality assurance and risk management.
• Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational performance improvements.
