Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries or concerns.
- Provide information about products, services, and promotions.
- Address any customer complaints or issues and escalate them to the manager when necessary.
- Ensure a positive and efficient experience for each customer.
Processing Transactions:
- Operate the cash register to process customer purchases quickly and accurately.
- Scan items, input prices, and ensure that transactions are properly calculated.
- Handle payments through cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, or gift cards.
- Provide customers with receipts and change (if applicable).
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required for cashier roles.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a cashier, in retail, or in customer service is preferred but not always necessary for entry-level positions.
- On-the-job training is often provided, especially regarding the use of POS systems and company-specific processes.
