Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.
2. Analyze financial activities to identify tax-saving opportunities and implement effective strategies to improve tax efficiency.
3. Ensure that all transactions comply with applicable tax laws. Perform regular audits and reviews of subordinates' work to ensure compliance and identify discrepancies.
4. Assist in budgeting sales and expenses for a certain period. Forecast future financial performance based on historical performance and market trends. Compare budget and actual performance and take corrective actions on noted variances.
5. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions before closing of each accounting period.
6. Lead, train, and motivate the accounting team, delegate tasks, and evaluate performance.
7. Check the accuracy of payroll computation, deductions, and salary payments.
8. Continuously improve accounting systems and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy. Strengthen internal controls and work with various departments to identify areas for improvement.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy is required
Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CMA (certified management accountant)
5+ years of managerial experience
Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
Knowledgeable in financial analysis and strategy
Proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP accounting system
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly
