Klaviyo & Retention Marketing Specialist for Premium beauty/skincare Brand

IVEAGH is a founder-led New Zealand body and hair care brand. Our hero product, Oil No. 22, is a fragrance-led dry-touch oil for both skin and hair.

We need a hands-on Klaviyo and retention specialist to take ownership of our email marketing, core flows, customer retention and website pop-up.

This is not a role for someone who only schedules generic newsletters or relies on constant discounts. We need someone who can audit what is in place, identify gaps, make clear recommendations, build the work in Klaviyo and report on what is actually working.

You will be responsible for:

• Auditing our Klaviyo account, current flows, segmentation, forms, campaigns and deliverability basics.
• Building or improving the essential flows: welcome, browse abandonment, cart/checkout abandonment, post-purchase, review request, replenishment and win-back.
• Planning, writing, designing and building ongoing email campaigns that build the brand and drive conversion.
• Improving the pop-up and the welcome-flow journey without defaulting to a permanent discount.
• Creating useful customer segments for non-purchasers, first-time buyers, repeat buyers and lapsed customers.
• Providing a simple weekly report on list growth, campaign/flow performance, testing and next priorities.

You must have strong Klaviyo and Shopify experience, ideally with beauty, skincare, fragrance, wellness or premium DTC brands.

You need to be a strong writer with good taste and be able to build clean mobile-first emails, not just send templates.

You must also be proficient in Claude or Manus and know how to use AI to improve research, planning, QA and production speed.

We are not looking for generic AI copy pasted into emails. You need to use judgment, understand brand voice and fact-check product claims.

We are looking for someone proactive who can work directly with a founder and tell us what should be done, not wait to be told every step.

We will start with a paid 30-day trial covering the audit, priority flows, pop-up improvements and initial campaign plan/builds. Please propose either a fixed fee or hourly rate, estimated hours and clear deliverables.
