Product Specialist / Biomed Specialist

Qualifications Education (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in: Nursing Medical Technology Biomedical Engineering Life Sciences or equivalent healthcare-related field Experience (Advantage) Prior experience as a: Product Specialist Clinical Specialist OR Nurse / Scrub Nurse Biomedical Engineer (with clinical exposure) Experience in cardiovascular, endovascular, or surgical environments is a strong advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of surgical workflows and sterile environments Excellent communication with surgeons and hospital staff Calm, professional, and decisive under pressure Detail-oriented and highly compliant Willing to learn complex devices and procedures Able to work independently in the field Personal Attributes (Very Important at SVT Meditech) Professional and respectful in the OR at all times Ethical—never oversells or misrepresents a product Reliable and punctual (cases wait for no one) Coachable and eager to improve clinical knowledge Team-oriented with sales, logistics, and management Work Conditions Field-based with frequent hospital visits On-call support may be required depending on case schedule Travel within assigned territory (Metro Manila and/or provincial areas) Why This Role Matters at SVT Meditech At SVT Meditech, Product Specialists are not just support staff—they are trusted clinical partners of surgeons and a critical extension of the company’s reputation in the operating room. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Technical Support Provide in-OR and bedside product support during procedures (cardiovascular, endovascular, neurosurgical, or other assigned specialties). Assist surgeons and clinical staff with proper product selection, preparation, handling, and troubleshooting. Ensure correct usage of: Surgical consumables (e.g., hemostats, grafts, adhesives) Surgical instruments Capital equipment and accessories (as assigned) Act as the technical authority for assigned products during cases. Product Training & Education Conduct product demonstrations, in-service trainings, and workshops for surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff. Support internal training of account executives and sales staff, especially those without medical backgrounds. Translate complex clinical concepts into clear, practical explanations. Sales & Account Support Work closely with Account Executives before, during, and after cases to support: Case planning Product positioning Surgeon preference alignment Provide clinical insights that support ethical and compliant sales activities. Assist in product evaluations, trials, and hospital endorsements. Regulatory, Quality & Compliance Ensure all product usage aligns with: FDA Philippines regulations Hospital protocols Manufacturer IFUs Assist in documentation for: Product evaluations Complaints and adverse events Post-market surveillance, when required Maintain proper handling and traceability of products used in procedures. Operational & Field Responsibilities Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for: Timely delivery of products for cases Return of unused or loaned items Maintain accurate case records and post-procedure reports. Be available for early morning, late evening, weekend, or emergency cases when needed.
