Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support our logistics and inventory operations. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving shipments, packing and dispatching orders, operating basic material-handling equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate is physically active, organized, and committed to warehouse safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Unloading: Unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, and match items against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Packing & Shipping: Pick, pack, label, and stage outgoing orders accurately to ensure timely delivery to customers or retail stores.
- Inventory Control: Organize stock within designated storage areas, participate in routine cycle counts, and report stock shortages or damage.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate material-handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintenance & Safety: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards; adhere strictly to company health and safety protocols (OSHA).
- Record Keeping: Log inventory movements and shipping details into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or basic inventory software.
