Accounting Assistant - Urgent

Full-time

ACCESS SOLUTIONS MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and accounting support to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions. The role includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, assisting in accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accounting records and financial documents.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, journal vouchers, and other accounting documents.
  • Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare billing statements, invoices, and official receipts.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by verifying payroll-related documents and computations.
  • Maintain accurate filing of accounting records, receipts, and supporting documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor advances, reimbursements, and liquidation of expenses.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial and accounting concerns.
  • Assist during internal and external audits by preparing requested documents and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and government regulations.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as may be assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or any related field.
  • At least 1 year of accounting experience is preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Can work independently and meet deadlines.
