About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UKG Ready and a strong understanding of payroll processes, employee records management, and payroll compliance. This role is essential in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and assist with bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll using UKG Ready.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records and information.
- Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll-related tasks.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
- Prepare payroll reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams regarding payroll updates and discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll audits and year-end reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Required: Proven experience using UKG Ready.
- Previous experience as a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with U.S. payroll processes.
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in a remote work environment.
