Senior Workday Functional Analyst

Brief Summary:
The Senior Workday Functional Consultant is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and ongoing support of Workday HR modules, with a primary focus on Core HCM and adjacent modules such as Benefits, Talent, Compensation, and Absence. The role serves as a subject-matter expert, partnering with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, mentor junior analysts, and drive continuous improvement of the HR technology landscape.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end configuration of Workday HR modules (Core HCM, Benefits, Talent, Compensation, Absence) including business process framework, security, and reporting.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design fit-for-purpose solutions, and document functional specifications.
• Own the testing strategy for Workday releases (semi-annual updates and feature releases), including impact analysis, regression test planning, and stakeholder sign-off.
• Serve as escalation point for complex production issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
• Build and maintain advanced, matrix, and composite reports, calculated fields, and dashboards to support HR analytics needs.
• Lead or contribute to Workday projects (module deployments, M&A integration, organizational restructures) from discovery through hypercare.
• Mentor and review the work of Analysts; provide guidance on configuration standards, documentation, and ticket resolution.
• Maintain detailed configuration documentation, change logs, and standard operating procedures.
• Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality, data privacy, and segregation of duties when handling employee personal data.
• Perform additional duties and project work as assigned by the VP, Global HR Technology and Operations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Workday functional configuration experience, with deep expertise in Core HCM and at least two of: Benefits, Talent, Compensation, Absence.
• Workday Pro certification in one or more HR modules strongly preferred.
• Proven experience leading at least one full-cycle Workday implementation or major module deployment.
• Strong working knowledge of Workday business process framework, security model, condition rules, and calculated fields.
• Experience designing and building advanced and matrix reports; familiarity with Workday Prism or People Analytics is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to present to and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Willingness to work onsite in Paranaque and accommodate occasional overlap with global stakeholders across time zones.
