Carpenter

Responsibilities

1. Read and interpret basic construction drawings, plans, and measurements related to carpentry work.
2. Perform formwork for concrete structures such as columns, beams, slabs, walls, and foundations.
3. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials.
4. Construct and install temporary supports, scaffolding components, platforms, and other required structures.
5. Perform framing, ceiling, roofing, partition, door, and other carpentry works as assigned.
6. Ensure that formworks are properly aligned, leveled, plumbed, secured, and ready for concrete pouring.
7. Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and properly.
8. Inspect materials and report defective or insufficient materials to the Foreman or Supervisor.
9. Maintain and properly store tools, equipment, and materials after use.
10. Follow project specifications, construction plans, and instructions from the Foreman or Supervisor.
11. Maintain good housekeeping and keep the work area clean and free from hazards.
12. Strictly observe company Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) rules and wear the required PPE at all times.
13. Report unsafe working conditions, damaged tools, accidents, and other site hazards immediately.
14. Coordinate with masons, steelmen, electricians, plumbers, and other workers to avoid delays and conflicts in the work.
15. Perform repair, adjustment, dismantling, and modification of formworks and other carpentry installations when required.
16. Ensure that completed work meets the required quality, dimensions, alignment, and workmanship standards .
17. Assist other construction workers when necessary and perform other related duties assigned by the Foreman, Supervisor, or Project Engineer.
