Job Description
The Ad Operations Campaign Manager is responsible for executing, optimising, and managing ad campaigns across various digital platforms (Google YouTube and Meta). This role involves setting up, monitoring, and reporting on ad performance to ensure campaign goals are met, while working closely with the CSM team to deliver high-quality results for clients. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in ad operations, familiarity with digital buying platforms, and a data-driven approach to optimising campaign performance.
Duties & responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Management
- Execute and manage digital ad campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads (with a focus on YouTube) and Meta.
- Provide ongoing campaign management to ensure optimal performance and delivery, consistently exceeding KPI goals and staying below contracted clearing costs.
- Monitor campaign pacing and performance against KPIs, proactively addressing issues through collaboration with internal teams and clients.
- Manage campaign budgets efficiently, track spending, and ensure alignment with budget constraints.
- Develop and implement audience segmentation strategies using first-party data, in-market, and affinity audiences.
- Conduct A/B testing on ad creatives, targeting strategies, and placements to optimize ad effectiveness.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks before campaign launches.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with the Client Success Management (CSM) team to ensure ad assets align with campaign objectives and are optimized for performance.
- Assist in pricing requests using tools like Reach Planner.
Tracking, Tagging & Measurement
- Ensure campaigns have proper tagging, tracking, and measurement setup for accurate performance analysis and data collection.
- Coordinate with Google Support to troubleshoot tagging issues
Reporting & Analysis
- Report on key metrics including impressions, views, clicks, CTR, conversions, and more to inform optimizations.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and post-campaign reports highlighting key metrics, insights, and future optimizations.
- Analyze campaign trends and provide actionable insights aimed at improving future performance and cost efficiency.
Learning & Development
- Stay updated on changes in the digital advertising ecosystem, including platform and industry updates that could impact campaign strategy.
- Proactively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills in the digital advertising space.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms, such as Google Ads (particularly YouTube), Facebook Ads, and other relevant platforms.
- 2+ years experience in managing and optimising digital advertising campaigns.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
