CDI Practice Leader (Director) (Healthcare)

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is partnering with a leading organisation in the Healthcare industry to hire a Senior Operations Leader - Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI). This opportunity is based in the Philippines and offers the chance to drive operational excellence, clinical documentation integrity, and strategic client partnerships within a high-performing healthcare services environment.
Position Overview
Lead end-to-end operational delivery for Clinical Documentation Improvement and related healthcare service lines, ensuring excellence across quality, productivity, compliance, and client outcomes.
Play a critical role in driving strategic growth, operational transformation, and continuous improvement through leadership, innovation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall delivery performance across quality, productivity, turnaround time (TAT), utilisation, SLA compliance, client satisfaction, and financial KPIs.
- Drive operational excellence, governance practices, risk management initiatives, and business continuity programmes.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and support account growth opportunities.
- Manage and develop Team Leaders, CDI Specialists, Quality Auditors, Trainers, and support functions through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Establish succession planning and leadership development programmes to strengthen organisational capability.
- Serve as the primary operational leader and trusted adviser for assigned client accounts.
- Present executive-level performance reviews, governance updates, QBRs, and RCA/CAPA reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to AHIMA, ACDIS, CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and client-specific regulatory requirements.
- Oversee audit readiness, quality calibration programmes, physician documentation improvement initiatives, and documentation integrity efforts.
- Utilise analytics, automation, and AI-enabled technologies to improve productivity, quality, and operational outcomes.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Monitor workforce planning, resource utilisation, financial performance, and operational capacity to support business objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence across the organisation.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience- Active, unrestricted US Registered Nurse (USRN) licence and Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in US Healthcare Operations.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience within Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) or related clinical operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale healthcare operations, service delivery, and client relationships.
- Strong understanding of operational financials, workforce planning, and business performance management.
- Experience leading continuous improvement, process optimisation, and organisational transformation initiatives.
- AHIMA CCS or AAPC CIC certification preferred.
- CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) or CDIP (Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CDI methodologies, MS-DRGs, SOI/ROM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CMS guidelines, physician documentation practices, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Ability to leverage data, technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to drive operational performance.
- Expertise in healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements, including AHIMA, ACDIS, CMS, HIPAA, and client-specific standards.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, presentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage strategic client partnerships.
- Proven capability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong focus on accountability, innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
